Provo River Fishing Report for Mid June

Jim and I fished five different streams since the last fishing report. We guided folks too “secret” places and on the Middle Provo River. On Wednesday Jim and I fished a small side creek up Diamond Fork and found a full blown Giant Stonefly hatch.

Provo River Fishing Report for Early June

Jim and I fished three places this week and scouted two more rivers. Last Saturday, we guided a couple of folks on the Middle Provo. On Wednesday we fished a “Secret Place”, scouted the Strawberry River and fished Lake Canyon. Then on Thursday, Jim ran up to Diamond Fork to check on the Giant Stonefly […]

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook for Mid May – Early June

Memorial Day weekend starts tomorrow. If you haven’t started fishing yet, what are you waiting for? The weather has been nice, the birds are singing and the fish are biting. Jim and I fished two days on the Middle Provo this week at several different places. It was cloudy and rained a little on Tuesday […]

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook for Mid-Late May

There are so many good places to fish in our area this time of year. Jim and I fished a spot on the Middle Provo this week that we haven’t visited in a while. Then later, I took one of my neighbors  back to the same place. Again, both these days were very bright days, […]

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook for May

We fished the Lower Provo River once this week on another nice warm, bright day. Again, the bright day should have meant tough fishing, but not so. Fishing on such a bright day was as good as anyone could hope for.  You can see the video near the bottom of this page.

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook Late April – Mid May

We fished the Middle Provo River twice this week on two of the warmest and brightest days so far this year. Such bright days usually indicate the fishing could be tough. Fishing on top was a little tough, but fishing under the water was as good as anyone could hope for.

Provo River Fishing Report Late April – Early May

We fished the Middle Provo River once this week. Jim had another commitment, so it was just me and Jimmy Blackmon (last week’s guest). This time of year, Jim and I usually start exploring other rivers in our area so the number of trips on the Lower and Middle Provo goes down. Then we (Jim […]

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook Mid – Late April

We fished three times this week, twice on the Lower Provo and once on the Middle Provo River. And this week, more than just stocked rainbows ran upstream from Deer Creek Reservoir.

Provo River Fishing Report and Outlook Mid April

We found ourselves this week back on the lower part of the Middle Provo River. Since Deer Creek Reservoir is full, lots of rainbows have run up into the river and they are hungry.
